There will soon be 26 new single-family homes in the affluent San Antonio enclave of Olmos Park.
Austin-based PSW Real Estate is building the new homes on the 300 and 400 blocks of East Olmos Drive near the McCullough Avenue roundabout. The homes will incorporate design elements reflective of the neighborhood's Spanish-Eclectic style while also incorporating modern design. Working closely with the city of Olmos Park, PSW made sure each house was unique to comply with city building standards. As a result, each home is a different color, and each is designed slightly differently from the rest, including each home having a unique parking figuration, as some have parking in the front and some have parking in the back.
These 26 homes will range from three to four bedrooms and two and a half to three bathrooms, with square footage ranging from 1,869 to almost 2,400. Prices will start at $499,000 and peak just shy of $600,000.
The exclusive Realtor of this development will be Craig Browning with Phyllis Browning Co.
So far, 17 of the new homes have begun construction, with seven having already been sold, six more listed on the MLS and four still under construction. Once these homes are finished, the last nine will be built.
The land that these homes sit was previously occupied by a dozen old fourplexes, which PSW bought and tore down, Browning said.
"With price points in Olmos Park starting around $600,000, this is basically offering something more affordable in the neighborhood," Browning said. "The location is great because the homes are all in close proximity to Olmos Park's commercial district, which was part of PSW's goal in making the community walkable. Then you have the new construction, which is offering potential buyers very cool, modern, open floor plans and energy-efficient design in an older, more traditional neighborhood."
